morning peeps - oooh itch, scratch, bloomin' bug bites - I've even got one where 'the sun don't shine'.....no Vinny, I don't need any calamine on it thanks. Very clever that ad Vinny btw, hope Jude's meals on wheels doesn't do the same, her dad'll report her to social services.

Oh lovely to see you there Dolly - glad you're ok & that you've enjoyed your time with your brother, I expect you'll miss him when he goes home. Don't worry about not swimming - I don't either but how could we be afraid with our resident hero, Vinny, to take care of us

erm, well.....

I'm sure I had something really interesting to say....there's a first..... but the phone rang & put me off

erm,.............. thinking,....................

nope, it's gone, so I'll post a pic of the garden this morning....it's not very sharp, I'm a bit shaky from trying to comb out me beehive & clean off the slap from last night.....

Lovely photo Robinia. Wish my garden looked like that. Dad was ok. I had to wait while he had a shower he's a bit nervy. Then went to my sisters for my pud now I'm listening to the Rams lose again!!!! Mind you it's only the first half so we may score yet. In my dreams!!!

Lovely garden robina...nice doggy to....um...better mow me lawn suppose...

mow her

jude..tut..tut....!!(:-#)

lazy

Lovely pic Robinia ....I am still waiting for the ceanothus to bloom ..in vain ! Still too cold .
Hi Dolly ..nice to hear from you again.
We have just got back from a nice lunch with my brother and sis-in-law.I tucked in ..'twas delish .Will have to do a quick reccee round the rec with Shane shortly to run ..or stagger..it off ! It's my last weigh in this week so I musn't let the side down.
Have managed to lose the required two stone now so must keep it off.
Lovely weather here but still that cold wind ..looks as if it we may reach the dizzy heights of 20C in the week but shan't hold my breath.

If I send a note Vinny can you stick it up the chimney for me ...It starts
Dear Father Christmas ......
Could you send me some wide elastic and blue bag.

Enjoy the snooker Jude !
evening all - yes, 'tis a bit chilly up my end today too. Had half an hr outside cos I had 2 inches of space left in my brown bin....little by little, have to pace myself these days.

I see you've been using the easy peasy way to get the lawn of your dreams Vinny....oh no, I'm going to singing that all night now.

I say, jolly well done shaners on the weight loss....you'll be able to hide behind the Farewell Trollop flagpole soon never mind the chimenea.
Erm, what do you do with all this elastic may I ask? hope you're not making catapults & selling 'em to the hooligans on the rec.

Jude your chimdy made me laugh - that's what I called it (till I was about 16 lol) & chimney still doesn't sound right to me. My little granddaughter looked up the other day & told me there was a bird on my chimbley....and when I told her it was a dove she said 'it's not, it's a turkey'......hahaha....
- a very frail neti pops in to say hello - Hello folks. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Robinia that is a gorgeous garden I feel quite envious, but then I think of all that hard work and know I couldn't do it. Yes I've still got the runs, getting fed up with it now even with the medication. Ooops am off again - see you soon.

Well Shaney the snooker's a bit of a shambles at the mo. Probably get going tonight.I really want Ebdon to win but we shall see, a long way to go yet. Well done on the weight loss btw.

Funny int it Robinia how chimney has always been pronounced funny round here. And it sounds so comical coming from kids. Imagine....a turkey on your chimly.

Come on Neti get well soon.

And Vinny yes you sussed me I am a lazy so and so. I only do what's necessary whenever it's necessary but when I do it, I do it well........:o)

hi neti - so sorry you're still poorly. If you can get something called Thomson's Slippery Elm food over there that'll sort your tum out...you use it to make a smooth hot drink with milk.

I don't do the hardest work anymore, more's the pity. I get a man in to mow, cut the hedges & do any heavy pruning.....wish I'd got into gardening when I was young.

One man went to mow...mow Robinias meadow
One ,two men and their dog went to mow her meadow !!

Neti...try flat coca cola and pretzels...those salty stick things ..my M-I-L swears by this remedy for upset tums.

You are lucky to have brown bins.
...we have to take ours to the dump and I have loads of sacks of garden rubbish at the moment. We can have them ..but have to pay extra and I dare not try and hide the odd sack in the normal wheelie because our dustmen inspect everything ...little Hitlers !

haha shaney, one man & his wife actually. They come in with 2 petrol mowers & it's all done in about 20 to 25 mins! It was taking me anything from 1 to 2 hrs - no grassbox on my flymo so I had to rake up the clippings, clean the mower, wind up the cables etc & then spend 3 days getting over it. I tried doing it a bit each day, but I was never finished so I waved me white flag.

Got to be up at the crack of dawn to put the bins out :o(

Evening all...poor netti..yes that slippery elm is good..taste's like porridge...they use to feed the troops on it.you know....Brown bins...we've got green one's..na na na na na...hang on me screens gone all funny...

wow

um...shaney I put yer note on me chimanea.(did you mean chimney..oops)..and it went up in smoke...um I feel a dance coming on...(:-)

biddys

come on you girls...get with it...!!

Bank holiday tomorrow robinia....have a lie in dear..hehe..(:)
Testing testing...its going dodgy again...??
Question Author
Hope you all have a good Bank holiday, Jno's foot gets better and Neti's tum gets better, I'm off to bed now to watch the rest of the snooker. Catch you all tomorrow maybe, nitey nite xx
We had one of those flymo things and have just dumped it in favour of a new mower..which is great ..even I can mow know without all that raking up and faffing around .It used to nearly kill me off too Robinia !!
The site was dodgy again earlier and it wouldn't let me post anything.
Dancing Vinny ... I am dancing off to bed shortly !

Goodnight all ..enjoy the holiday tomorrow.
goodness, I hope my collapsible back and aching feet never get so much better I have to resume lawnmowing - I have servants to do that doncherknow. Hope everyone is sufficiently healthy to enjoy the weekend - neti, you may like one of these for your garden

Morning my biddys.....tis a lovely sunny day...but that wind is going right up me kyber pass..hehe..Hope you all feel a million

here Today. oh no...!!there goes me flymo..

whoosh Robinia...you could train yer doggy...

woof woof methinks you prefer them men in there vests..tut tut...haha..(:-)

pooooooh where'd me post go????!!!

.....morning Vinny, luckily I'd typed it on notepad first as I saw there'd been probs again so I'll have another go.......stand by.....

c'mon gerrup you lot! Been up since 7.15 I have & I'm tetchy. Got awful ringing & pressure in my ears - must be this abysmal wild windy weather we have here, or is it just Vinny on the sprouts again?

Even Charlie is restless, he hates it too, had to almost force him outside for a tiddle. Glad I don't have to go to one like that jno, although it's pretty much like the one we had at my first school.

right, I'll have a stagger (with this dizziness) around the corridors while it's quiet to see what mutiny there might have been last night.....fell asleep after the first hr of Marple, tut...and it looked like a good one. I expect it'll be repeated so no spoilers thanks or you'll walk the plank.

grrrr.....that was the 4th try

lol, wish charlie could mow Vinny - he won't even fetch me slippers....wonder why?

btw what mower do you have now shaney?
it was a toss up between buying a new mower or paying someone else to mow. Fortunately they're very reasonable if you have them regularly, but they might decide to give it up one day....my sons are very good but not great gardeners. One can't keep up with his own & t'other only has a courtyard.
