I Have absolutely no doubt you have had this query before, however here it is again.

When typing a question or reply the line spacing is very odd!

One Carriage return would seem to equal 2 lines!

Even Shift-Return makes no diference so I'm left wondering, why?

It seems the only way to avoid making a paragraph of every sentence is to carry on typing in one long line and let the wordwrap sort it all out!

This is not a good thing methinks.

What thinks you?

OK Now I tried to post this question I see it has been asked and answered several times though I didn't go off and check the answers for one simple reason.

The problem persists!

I'll go ahead and post this question just to make sure that the problem is highlghted one more time and then I'll go and check the replies.

shift return should give you one-line spaces
like
this

- I'm typing this directly on to AB, via Internet Explorer

This was asked before, and answered Here
Shift return should work
like so.

Yes I've also e-mailed the AB Tech's on this one too. In days gone by, we didn't have to shift return for single spaced para's, we simply did what one does in Word, etc., just pressed the return key once.I really can't see why this can't be rectified by the Tech's.

I tried the Shift-Return method and as I stated in my original message, it didn't work seem to work!
When I typed "Even Shift-Return makes no difference..." I had preceded the sentence with a Shift-Return and the double carriegae return is there for you to see.

Now, here I am typing this reply and the Shift-Return is working fine!
See?

Perhaps the problem is more evident when typing the initial query, I don't know but something isn't right and here is the only place I've encountered the problem.

you might be right
Azimov
about questions and answers working differently.
If so
the techies ought to be able to sort it.
