Generally, the problem is that if you can delete your questions and answers, it may make other answers look nonsensical.

The original plan (as far as I understand) was that this was an answerBANK, and that you just searched for what you were looking for, and found your answer there. If people could delete questions, this function would weaken substantially.

One other forum I have used (not going to plug it - don't worry!) allows you to delete and answer ONLY IF no-one has posted after you. If we could go back and delete answers, we could make other people's answers look insane, and then it would break down.

mr_pointment - haven't seen you on the other forum yet. Are you planning to pop in again?

j bug, obviously i cant speak for the others, but i was interested in removing from my own "questions and answers" list. this can be found in "my profile" next to the "sign in".

at the moment ive got about 80 answered and 10 asked. there must be a time or count limit otherwise the answer bank would need massive computing power.

I don't get how that effects things, but never mind! I get your point though, and as you guys use this site about 100% more than me - yes, wahey, go for it, whatever you say, supporting you all the way! :-) (regards deleting threads, not people!!)
