what about incorporating some sort of childrens/teen section where children can ask their questions, answered by other children or adults. for safety and decency, maybe before the question/answer is posted, it goes through a checking system and then posted for all to see?

No, I dont think it would be a good idea to create an area where anyone dodgy would know that all the people in there were children or teenagers!
