How come dot hawkes gets away with blatant racism on this site ? Surely if someone posted the same q but used another nationality instead of russians, they're questions would be banned? Surely offensive questions like these should be removed. its to be hoped like hell that no ABers are actually Russian.

Dot.H, I do enjoy many of your answers and I think it is very rude of you to put down Russians.. I'am half Russian and I am very proud of it. But of course you have the right like anybody else to your own opinion but it does not mean you should go onto a web site and trash the history of a race.

For the record there are probably more seemingly racist threads about English, Scottish, Irish & Welsh people than there are Russians. But we aren't allowed to complain aobut that because we are British, right? not that we would want to because we obviously aren't as uptight as some ;o)

Russians aren't a race, they're a nationality (mostly but not all Slavic, I think). Still, it seems wrong to criticise them just because of the work of one bad apple whom I shall not name.

I wouldn�t get your knickers in a twist over Dot. There are people here who get off on much cruder remarks than Dot�s occasional attempts at sarcastic reprisal. You obviously haven�t read any of WM posts on ethnic and class diversity of Great Britain.

I am Russian and although I might not have expected such a thread from Dot I don't really mind. I got to know her sense of humour since I 've been here and don't get offended by it. But I do agree with Jno.
