European Ryder Cup clothes

When did the European team change their shirt colours - when I was watching at lunchtime they were in blue almost the same as USA, now I'm watching again and Europe are wearing the ones they wore yesterday. Is this because we (the gallery) were getting confused with both teams?

I don't actually have any 70s photos - they're in my sister's attic several thousand miles away where I used to live... and I'm not even sure there are any of me. I seem to recall one was taken in a nice barrister's wig, rather spoiled by my own hair underneath it being a foot longer; but I don't think I ever kept a copy.
