Welcome new Ed,

Hopefully a change for the better - as they say, I believe in Britain, 'the jury is out'?

Ed's interpret in different ways ...

As a new member, I have taken time to read the Site rules and also recent pronouncements on AB Suggestions ... I am definitely confused by this very recent statement ....

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Suggestions/ Question295509.html

Put simply, it does not seem to being applied ... even by the old Ed?

I suggest / would wecome clarification by the new Ed.

party time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please clarify the situation AB Ed. Why have rules if they are not enforced AB Ed?
Rules are for Fools.
is Ab Suggestions the new B&S Chatterbank?
Rules should beez bendy like me kneez cretinzzzzzzzz
so it seems the answer is 'rules should apply to everyone but me', a philosophy you will see in action over much of AB, prospector
Got to agree with jno on this one. Some very long threads on suggestions just full of useless chit chat. If they can get away with it, so why not everyone?
whats so bad about chit chat, this is a comunity after all?

BOO is B S for questions? i never knew that lol
BOO your answer has disappeared
lol, thought it might ;-)
goodness, B00, are you the first one to have a post removed by the new Ed? This needs celebrating.
Lol, it would appear so jno, though to be fair it's still sat in me profile and it doesn't have a red banner across it- YET!

That's what happens when you mention undergarments;-)
Question Author
Sad really - as a new member, I put up a question for clarification about the way the site is regulated as I am confused by this AB suggestion Topic ....

No answer from the new Ed yet .... still time though?

And the seemingly usual suspects making non-relevant comment .... do they get banned?

And some sensible support from cretinz, jno,

Well, an unimpressive baptism to this site

B00's as tough as an ox. When she dies she'll be turned into Bovril, prospector.
As a new member prospector, you seem intent on annoying alot of members- why is that?

BOO its just enthusiasm,
May I suggest a live and let live policy on this forum?

Yes there is chatter, I am as guilty of it as anyone but surely it is better to have very long threads with people nattering away on them and not pushing the serious questions to the second page where they run the risk of not being seen?

I am happy to indulge in the chatter but I will also answer serious posts where I can provide any information or support.

I would guess that we're talking about the B&S topic but there are some very long threads in the News topic too. Are those to be objected to as well? There are also discussions within Science. Yes B&S has chatter which produce long threads but are long threads in News and Science ok because they can be debates?

I think as long as everyone is having an enjoyable experience on this site then that is the main thing that matters.

< Sits back to await carnage for expressing opinion >
No no, don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he (she?) isn't entitled to his opinion (even though it's wrong- LOL!) I'm just baffled why we are classed as "the usual suspects" and he seems to want us banned???
