Not too sure about this, As 4getmenot said I prefer looking through one section instead of trailing through many sub catogories.

I like the idea that I can narrow sections down to subjects which particular interest me.
Just think maybe it takes some getting used to? Once we have i'm sure we'll wonder how we managed without 'em!
And don't forget- folks were forever campaigning for sub-categories...so it's their fault if you're not happy with 'em ;-)

Just tried it out more carefully, and no, it doesn't. Each subsection is a section in its own right.
But it seems you can still post in the parent section above the subsections. So a question on any particular topic could be in either of two places.
This is going to get confusing.
