If so, please stand up now and be counted. At the moment it doesnt appear that anyone is happy with it. It is too much for my liking. I dont quite know where to start.
Hi agent smith ;-) i feel overwhelmed by all the sub sections. If people moaned before about wrong section posting before, they are gonna have a field day now! There was no need for all this and with no warning, or did i miss that?
I posted a question about a tv prog tonight on the sub section TV but then it appeared as reality! confusing to say the least.
It was OK for a while but I now have a headache and must lie down with a large gin .I have lost Vinny in the corridors and he could be up to all sorts of mischief by now . Robinia and I are getting too old to keep chasing around after him.
It's alright ....I just wish they hadn't mucked about with Q&P.. (sob )..all me anagrams are muddled up up with me cryptics now !
It's too much information all at once ..but I suppose if us old gals can get used to doing without Robin Starch we can cope with anything :)
maybe if they had introduced it gradually we could have got to grips with it bit by bit but its all been heaped on in one go, thats the problem.
I hope Vinny wont be too much trouble shaneystar
I looked in the B&S sub sect on 'Health & Fitness' and most of the Q's were food orientated, which I am sure would have been posted on Food&Drink before..........
Having read 2 pages here of "what's this?" and "what's going on?" I hope Ed will get a good idea of exactly how most ABers feel about the new AB... it IS a bit too much and I hope this was just a good old trial run and everything returns to normal tomorrow.
don't think there was any need to go to the extremes of all the sub-categories they've put in ! i don't like any of it, used to be so easy to just click on what subject interested you & contribute but now it seems takes to much time sorting thro the blinking things! :-(
Only thing I agree with is giving the crossword nerds their own section. Perhaps you could give them a blank grid and tell them the answers to save them even buying a paper, let alone trying to get the clues themselves.
It is a mess. AB Ed says it is is in response to user requests, but count them!
Add up the number of users that have asked for more sections or sub-sections here in suggestions and compare that number with the total number of AnswerBank users. Methinks we have a vocal minority and the silent majority have had their position usurped.
This site is called ANSWERbank and those of us who regularly give answers need to find the questions easily. It is an altruistic act to give answers and if this process is made more difficult by having to refresh umpteen sub-sections then it is just not going to happen. The end result can only be the demise of this once fine site.
