Oooooo I love the Xmas Category idea- it's been mentioned before, but Robinia told me off for wanting one in October.....lol

I particularly love the 'Christmas on a budget' type posts, regarding decorations, gifts etc......mind you that might be because i'm poor.....lol

Hopefully, this will get re-posted in it's own section.......
For the last 14 years, I have used the same old Christmas decorations, this years I want to replace them.........what are the 'in' colours to have this year and what styles/designs?

I'm same as you bunny, used same decs for years....i've never been one for following a particular years colours though (happen just as well really...lol). I use mine because I love 'em, and each year I say the same...."awwww, remember this one?" as I put them on the tree.

If it helps any- mine are white and silver.

I want a change as they were the decs that my ex and I bought together, so not so many good memories now - lol. I fancy a change, totally way over the top and designer ideas - but on a budget.

I remember a couple of years ago black christmas trees were very big (as in popular, not size).....saw one in a shop window decorated with pink decs....it looked really cool in a totally over the top way!

I think blue and white decorations, is stylish (but not chrissmasy enough for me!!) or even better but more expensive glass ones.

My decs are multi coloured as I only buy new ones when they are cheap and so they have to mix in with the others. One year I did try to be "posh" all red and gold, but family didn't like it, said it didn't feel right.

you can't go wrong with a few miles of multi-coloured paper chains & some fringed orange & purple crepe paper....here BOO start lickin & stickin....
