i remember the bithday posts in all different colours, they were lovely to look at, & like you say unruliejulie it gave certain individuality from the sender :-)
Question Author
I didn't use the colours much but i did like the bold lettering and the italics.

Bring em back please!
Haha ugly-bob the tags were probably there all along but being a computer dunce I probably couldn't find them !! I never did have a little box !
It was only when they changed and some kind soul guided me through it in joined up writing that I learned how to do it .
Please don't change it I have only just realised that you have to copy the URL on YouTube and not the link .
Eh? shaney now you are talking like a boffin and I'm lost.
the words 'Question Author' seem to be appearing in ordinary type... weren't they in colour and in bold last week? Or is it just because I am on a different screen today?
Question Author is a nice shade of Magnolia here in wild and windy Norfolk Jno as for being lost Neti old girl ..if I didn't write everything down on a piece of paper with a biro I would still be writing with a quill pen let alone trying to fathom out this machine !.URL is just a fancy word which I bandy about to show off ! Haven't a clue what it stands for .
Question author in Ochre
Background soft pink

How far back did you have the colours and fonts? Was it similar to the bar on Notepad or Wordpad, for XP?

Have been with AB since August, and the < - > method for bold, italics and underlining were in place then.

found this interesting, i joined in october 2005, so obviously it was all started a lot earlier on, (notice the date - 14/10/04)
Had to wear my shades for that link allotment lol

How long before the novelty wore off then?

The change to < > must have been fairly recent then, judging by people's comments?
If you click on the editors blog for June 2006 that's when it all changed .I have been confused ever since and my gin intake has increased considerably. Before that I was in a little colourless world all on my own !!

thanks shaney, :-)
Any excuse shaney lol !!! ;-)

BTW, completely unrelated but I bought some of those microfibre cloths you raved about to another ABer, and have to agree how superduper they are!! At last!! I can see out of my windows lol
Ooooh I say I am pleased pie+mash..I am of some help then :)
In spite of the gin !
i get the butler to do mine ..he's a bit doddery but the exercise does him good .Nothing better than climbing a six foot ladder on a windy day...it clears his sinuses a treat !
Did you get him in Lidel too? If so which section?
Hope he's not too expensive, embarrassed myself offering a credit card the other day lol (never been in there before) didn't know they only take debit or cash.

apologises for hi-jack a10

My Butler ? Lidl ? Oooooh no ...he is such a snob ..he only drinks Brasso and will only buy it at John Lewis .I have to cart to Lidl on my own.He has a terrible reputation in the Biddybank ! Unironed newspapers are the bane of my life .
We are naughty lotty chatting in your thread ..sorry ..I'll send the butler round with some cheese straws for you.
Question Author
hey, i didn't mind! gave me a laugh,
anyway, totted it up & generally seems to even for don't mind & would prefer the old colours back! so looks like i'll have "to go with the flow"

thanks for all the replies, it was interesting to just to see how most of us felt about it.

ps: thanks for the cheese straws shaney, (only got a few!) trouble was your butler & pie+mash's butler ate half of them before they turned up on my allotment in the rolls! (now i'm the talk of the town!!!!!
I used to like giving answers in white and seeing if people could work out how to read them (you had to highlight them)... ah, dear dead days... the pranks we used to play... But actually I'm coping fine with html now, and find I can even follow the subsections although I appreciate that the under-10s are having difficulty with them and would like lines on the screen to make it easier to write straight.
Sounds like the bygone days of invisible ink, jno!!

I remember the notes passed across the classroom, so only you and the recipient knew what was written, lol

lotty, me with a butler - I should cocoa!!!
