Thinking of leaving

Hello Lady P here, I would describe myself as one of the quieter ones who replies across the board to many different questions. However a few weeks ago I realised that none of my replies which I have carefully written are appearing on the site, and I have e mailed Ed twice now with no reply and to be honest I am feeling a little fed up as although I could remain as Lady P Gone somehow when you have been on here for years you get attached to your real identity and when you have answered questions into the thousands you do feel that you want to continue as that person. I have no idea what has happened or why and feel like a lone voice in the wilderness. ... has it happened to anyone else because I do not know what to do now ............

Don't give up just yet Lady P....for various reasons I don't think the Ed has been back since the xmas holiday.
Maybe you'll have an explanation if normal service is resumed tomorrow.

I agree with Robina , the ed is off on her recuperation / enforced leave of absence, you have to remember that the ed is a relative newbie and the chance of a break away from here must have come as a welcome opportunity not to be missed.
As a frequent zappee myself, I am pretty sure you have either overposted or the botts have zapped you for other techno reasons, and when the ed returns you will be restored to your former goodself, the way to tell if you are techno zapped is if you can sign in on your original id but cannot actually post questions or answers.
if your id has been deleted you cannot sign in at all.

Don't be in the least bit bothered, Lady P. This is a very odd site. In a thread recently someone posted the sentence "the co habitee acted in such away to their detriment that the owner is not entitled to go back on the presumed intention". I posted a question asking what on earth this means, if anything. My question was promptly banned!! But the sentence remains!! I now expect that I shall be banned altogether shortly, particularly as I have posted this.

Don't worry about it Lady P ..I was wondering why I hadn't seen you lately in Q&P re the Times crossword.I had an "off AB" spat
with someone and told AB where to poke it but am still here for some unknown reason .
The Editor is probably still sipping champagne in a monastery which is now part of a hotel chain somewhere and all will be sorted out soon.. ..we hope !

Hi there,

A friend of mine who has only been on this site for a short while, has suddenly been banned/zapped/obliterated into cyberspace for no apparent reason (wouldn't offend anyone). The only reason we think this might be is her username which although harmless might be taken as having another meaning (believe me it certainly isn't) and is a term used quite often and not at all rude! I read a couple of posts whereby the bots are "cleaning up" usernames. Being an American company, maybe like my friend's name (which I am not stating) they think it is refers to something else, the letter "P", that is??

guess what has happened to me!!!! Signed in at 7pm and cannot post as dot.hawkes. No idea why, left here about 11pm last night and all my posts were ok and they are all still there, not done anything tonight except try to post a greeting to Shaneystar, it makes you wonder what is going on!!!!

I do understand how you feel Lady p, when "mycatis" got banned, with the removal of over 500 posts by the way (for no reason as far as I can tell) I was very upset lol You really do become attached to your name dont you?
