What exactly is up with these 'most popular threads' on the front page? All 5 are by 2 'people' who were all in pink the other day. How stupid does AB think we are and what exactly is it attempting to achieve?

hahaha its official all our questions are roobish the ed decided to do it all herself - when she starts answering them too thats when i'll give up - chuckle

i don't mind - its quite amusing that we are deemed to ask such inane questions the ed team thought they had better intervene but i do wonder what they really hope to achieve e.g. they will still only get our inane answers, or maybe they hope to attract some better quality clientele?

it could of course be some sort of market survey typed thing?
Could it be that someone is using this site to do a sociology study. Maybe they have already placed some students on here as agents provocateur? Now they are trying to see how we react to serious thought provoking discussion threads. Someone's going to write a paper or get a PhD out of this!

We have seen this manipulation in the Big Brother House. So much for reality TV - this is a Reality Forum.

By the way, I don't know if this is one of the culprits or not but interesting nonetheless:

ROGER FRIEDLAND is Professor of Religious Studies and Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and has published extensively in both disciplines.

I am still looking for the elusive V Wales (Vernon?, Victoria?, Veronica?)
Again I suggest that the ed is pinning what he/she believes to be topical threads and highlighting them in pink. I suggest the ed only pins pink threads to the amount of replies that ABers give to fellow ABers on any particular post because that is more topical to members and should be honoured as such and not what the Ed thinks/decrees/decides SHOULD be topical and therefore pinned in pink. I ignore the posts that all gang up for an ABer but I do include what floats ABers boats that they all feel is important enough to contribute their answers to. I feel by highlighting in pink that you are trying to sway the AB posts and replies to your own personal choice and that is wrong.
Oh heck - I can see me being banned for life right now!
. . . or how about Vincent?

Vincent Wales is an acclaimed Northern California author, atheist and activist.
they'll have to write in txt spk and post questions like 'Is Cherie Blair 2 blame for the snow' if they want their threads to blend in.
Wales V

I think it is Prince Charles!! (of course)
