The Ed is a 9-5ish person me thinks, so she can't help ya.

Sadly, the only thing you've done makemesmile is draw attention to the post. making more people look at the post and possibly add to it, continuing the argument.

Take me for example, I didn't read the post when it was originally added, and probably wouldn't- I did however scoot there as fast as my fat little legs would carry me as soon as I saw THIS post referring to it.

The best you, and anyone else, can do, is report it.

It would be a real shame though for this perfectly valid question on Body & Soul to disappear just because certain people who SHOULD be old enough to know better can not be civil to each other or can not refrain from posting nasty , insulting comments to this poor girl and making grossly misplaced assumptions about her. She came to AB seeking advice about a life changing decision , something which regardless of the outcome of her decision will affect her in one way or another for the rest of her life. She was perfectly justified in asking her question in B&S - the very ethos of that category being matters pertaining to to the Body & Soul - yet she has most probably been left feeling even worse than she did prior to asking the question.

Surely then the most sensible thing to do would be to report the offensive/non contributory comments which do not relate to the original question itself , individually , rather than the entire question , would it not ? Why should this girl's question be rendered invalid by a minority who spoil it with petty squabbling ?

Which is exactly what I have done. I have no beef with her posting that particular question, I just felt that the abusive answers had gone far enough. If you re-read my question, you will see that I wasn't asking for the question to be deleted, just modified.

make mesmile I am sorry if I am missing something here but what is the problem exactly with the thread. Johnlambert's comments were fine; everyone else's were nothing but helpful.
I will hold my hands up if I missed something. Perhaps you think the subject matter was too controversial but it is a fact , it happens and cannot be covered up.

Calm down everyone, its been edited go and check it out. Why is Joe so obsessed with the Law? I know he's studying it but give it a rest, I'm 6 months away from qualifying in practice but you don't see me ranting about it do you?

Joe? studing the law, last I read he was or had been some walla in the army. He's a bit long in the tooth to be studying law. Don't believe everything he says as he is/was Ward-minter, and likes a bit of controversy. Some times he posts valid answers, but other times he slags people off!

No, some have been removed. Yesterday the answer total was over 180 - at time of writing there were approximately half that.
