Am I correct in assuming that if any particular poster has a vendetta against another they can get them banned by simply reporting the answer or post.
iT CAN'T BE THAT SIMPLE YET SOMETIMES EVEN THE MOST INNOCUOUS POSTS GET BANNED. sorry for caps,wrong button again.

no you cant just ban anyone. I think if you have a problem and that problem falls under the rules of the site then if enough people report them it is looked into and they do get banned or just suspended for a bit. You cant just get rid of anyone coz you fancy it.

Hi simon88, it does seem remarkably easy to ban someone. I have reported someone on here before as I was reduced to tears by what they were saying in a thread (I wasn't involved in it, it was just extremely offensive and derogatory) I did hesitate though as was worried that the person I had reported would somehow find out I had reported them. There seems to be so much arguing on here a lot of serious questions are not getting answered!

However if I behave extremely well in future am I guaranteed immunity from the community snipers.

lets just have some good debates, no need for aguing, or being nasty. If someone else is nasty just report them. If they have no response they soon get bored.

what 4getmenot says is spot on! dont fuel the fire and it will burn out! Regardless of what disagreement you are having with another member, i dont beleive there is a place for personal insults and name calling. Its schoolground stuff! One cannot argue alone though!
