The first time I saw that one of my answers had been removed, I spent ages trying to work out which one. Despite this, it still remained a mystery.
Then, some time later, I noticed that another answer had been removed. Again, I couldn't track it down but, this time, I remembered that AB had recently been 'freezing' when I'd posted a reply, causing me to try clicking the 'Submit' button again. I wondered if that was the cause.
A few weeks ago, I got confirmation of the cause of the problem. I'd just checked my profile - it just showed those 2 answers removed. I then posted a perfectly innocuous reply to a perfectly innocuous post. After I clicked 'Submit', nothing seemed to happen for quite some time, so I clicked 'Submit' again and my post appeared. I immediately checked my profile, to find that the number of removed posts had gone up to 3.
So, it seems that there are occasions when AB's server accepts a post but fails to respond with a refreshed page. If the poster then clicks 'Submit' again, AB's server sees an identical incoming post and removes it.
Therefore, JammieDodger, it's quite likely that all of your original posts remain on AB. The 'removed posts' simply refer to the occasions when AB's server has 'frozen' and you've clicked 'Submit' twice. (i.e. nothing has been removed except accidentally duplicated posts).
