Has anyone noticed the pinky pod to the right updating itself every 10 seconds? Yes, we have put it on purpose. Do you like it at all?

Subsequent to my previous post, firstly I don't see the point of knowing that someone said ' :o) ' zero minutes ago, and secondly the flashing egg-timer (which has nothing to do with connection speed I might add) could be harmful to anyone with epileptic tendencies.

Thirdly, many of my posts are becoming incoherent because of the mid-sentence interruptions caused by the refresh.

I don't see the point of knowing what it tells you, but if people dio, then fine. But perhaps users could have the option to turn the facility off?

If I could swear, I would say that it is ******** and ********* irritiating. And **** pointless (to me at least).
nuoyg, why not click on the button marked Preview before you click the one marked Submit?
Haven't you folks noticed that the problem has been sorted? Cursor now OK. Scrolling now OK. Typing now OK.

The 'pod' no longer refreshes avery 10 seconds. There is now a 'switch' at the top to turn the feature on to refresh every 30 seconds, or you can click on a hrefresh' button at the bottom of the 'pod'.

Thank you AB-ED for listening to complaints and sorting it so quickly.

I like it, it can lead to posts I wouldn't otherwise have read. I agree with being able to delete your own posts, that would be useful....
Welldone ED and the Techies...(:O)
all the same, posts still seem to be taking longer to go through than they did. Perhaps this is nothing to do with the pod but just with my computer, or are others finding the same thing?

And is 2' ago better than 2m ago?
it's changed now jno....I think it's an 0min
Thank you for making it an optional feature Ed. A most noble endeavour.
oh yes... my word, the pace of change in this modern life, I shall have to motorise my Zimmer frame
however... I find it refreshes every 30 seconds if I click on Refresh... or if I don't. Is there actually an 'off' switch somewhere?

jno: If you click on refresh button it refreshes just once. At least on my browser. If you click on enable button you will have disable button instead which is the off switch you are after.
