Is this what the AnswerBank had in mind when it opened the SAB and included a " Sports Pub Chat " section?

I was shocked to see any post in there have more than 5 replies let alone 25 but when i read them i realised it was total drivel!!

That 'sight' is a complete mess, in the name of Jimmy Rimmer change it back!!!

P.S. That post is the most popular of the last 100 in there, it is quite laughable really!!

I have given up on getting the old Sport section back to be honest, and i never expect a reply from the Gestapo, i just like reminding them of the mess they have created really!

ED should tell us why that drivel is allowed to stay in a sports section, i think that SAB will be back as it was, or nearly as it was, in the near future.

i used to love just reading all of the banter that went on in the old SAB, and occasionaly chipping in myself?

now its just appaling and obviously being used as a contact centre for friends who i think know the ed must never go in their to stop it??

Rugeley, i think you are onto something there. I noticed soon after it was changed that we had several new members coming on with drivel and posting questions like 'Who won the world cup in 66'?

Hi toonmilo, the reason i say that is because AB fixed the sports section when it was'ent broke, they made a pigs ear of it, they are being stubborn now , but when the advertisers start pulling out, and after seeing the clip above it wont be long, they will have to do something to attract them again, the more ABers that dont use it the quicker it will be put back. thats my theory anyway mate.

oh that's interesting, Craig - the Google ads are supposed to be keyed to the contents of the page not the personality of the person reading it. What that says about SAB pages' adverts I have no idea.

I share your unyielding anguish, I only dabbled in the Sporty bit when Arsenal were winning something (some time ago huh!) and now never, but perhaps you missed this little piece of genius that was proffered by jon1968 � on a few threads back. Even if you didn�t � it does no harm to watch it again!

Sorry didn't realise this post was here otherwise I would have put it in this thread in the first place. have you seen the new SAB Blog? I think its good and I dont see why people are so negative towards the SAB it has more functionality than the AB and just because it looks slightly different well so what, personally prefer it
