the Subscribe box should get you emails when other people's threads get a reply. But you ought to be getting them automatically when your own questions are answered. Have you tried contacting the AB techy people on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page?

ive been with ab for many years and always had an email sent to me if i have a question answered, as does everyone i think, i dont think you understand my question

I understand your question gina, i have stopped getting the little wooshing boxes in the bottom corner of my screen when ever another aber replied to my threads. This stopped about 3 or 4 days ago but i have seen so many people ask about it on ab over the years i just thought, someone will ask this soon! Anyway, i am still not getting the wooshing boxes and so I must have hit the same snag as yourself, i think it is the fault of the AB technical boffins, not our laptops.

thanks dotty, what whooshing noises??? didnt know we had any, mind you the fact that ive usually got the sound turned down may have something to do with tit. ive written to ad techs and will see what they come back with

goodness, I've never had a whooshing box, and that despite being an AB Platinum Plus member since 1958 with a certificate and everything. I am now feeling very deprived. Gina, I have noticed other people asking the same thing, so it sounds like a problem at AB Towers; ask them about it.

I've not had e-mails for yonks. I contacted ABE and by return of post, received a gizmo you plug into yir pc and connect to yir arm. When a reply is received, you receive a 1,000 volts and a superficial burn.

I must have a default sound thingy that wosshes when ever i get an email into my hotmail box, i thought everone had one, hee hee I am special!!! i shall bombard the techies help desk with requests for the return of my wooshing email, as a fellow platinum member along with jno et al i am not a happy aber today!

No gina, my 'someone has answered your question' type of email has stopped as well.

Put it down to the You Tubers - I blame everything on them!

Hi Cetti - same here! I haven't received any notification emails for some time, but I really don't mind as I get so many from family & friends already! Trawling thro' them now.....;o}

I have mentioned this on a couple of threads and no-one has answered me.

I do however like the 'latest answer' thingy on the bottom of threads, as I keep referring back and its useful to know which answers I have already seen and which are new ones.

Spooky or what! Just after I posted, I got an email telling me I had a reply to a question!

Try looking in your "Junk" or "Spam" e-mail folders and seeing if the AB posts are in there. If so, you'll need to add AB to your "allowed" or "safe" senders list. Check the Help for your e-mail client, or ask back here, if you need help.

I'm getting this problem too. 'Tech support' are 'dealing' with it. They have suggested I change my email address, which I have done 3 times now (googlemail, hotmail & ADSL24 domains) as they suggest my email providers are blocking the emails. I cannot imagine all 3 of these would be blocking AB's emails, or that all other AB users who use these email providers are not receiving emails either.

I have given up.....
