Quizzes and Puzzles

Could we please get rid of the Quizzes and Puzzles section of this site so that people who want to try and spoil really good prize quizzers would have their contributions spread more thinly. Thereby, those who wanted to profit from other people's research would have to waste even more of their time on this pathetic site.

The Q&P section is fine ..there are no arguments ,name calling ,backstabbing etc. Everyone gets along . Just a crowd of like minded people who enjoy a bit of mental stimulation and camaraderie .
What with you and the other miserable so and so whose name I won't mention you make us feel as we are giving away top secret information ....They are quizzes and crosswords... hardly a matter of life or death. Anyone can Google ,go to the library ,ask Aunt Nellie or discuss their various quizzes and crosswords on here .If you don't like it you don't have to look at it ....and ....what guarantee do we have that you are not picking others brains ? None . So I cannot see your point in being more of a misery than you already are .

not all of Q&P is for prize winning. Some is for interest.

Ed please ignore this sad person called Figi, Q & P is used by some fine people, and as already said by shaney and wideboy it is not all about prize winning and most answers are on the net somewhere anyway.
There is the moneysaving experts site with clues and words needed for many comps and marina site for mags so why pick on Q&P? Why dosn't Figi ignore the site if it bothers him/her so much?

I have only recently joined this site and it is a good job everybody doesn't feel like you .I do the quizzes for enjoyment and to help all the charities to raise funds.It is also good to be able to help others with answers ,because at the end of the day it is the charities that matter as they need the money.I don't think it is the site that is pathetic it must be you.

I only joined AB in June. I mainly use Quizzes and Puzzles but do use other sections and I must say that generally Q&Ps are friendlier,some of the other sections are quite nasty. I only ask questions when I think I've tried every where else and I like helping other people.Its certainly not for the money.:-) It costs me more now sending for more quizzes but they are good causes so ....

I have always found Q and P friendly and genuinely interested in knowledge for its own sake. A nice bunch.
My philosophy has always been " The opinions of people who don't matter, don't matter."
Very apposite in this case I feel.....
