Since you'll be doing your weekly blog tomorrow I was wondering if you could spread the word regarding the taste sensation that is brie and pickled onion (sliced) on crackers?

I don't think I've ever mentioned it before and I didn't get a mention in last weeks blog so that'd be great.

Oooooooooh Brie and crackers mmmmmmmmmm!!!!! I hate pickled onions China, you have mine.x
Crackers, yes....brie and pickled onions..no no and thrice NO!
Crackers, silverskin onions and... Creamy Lancashire. Yes!
er, is this before you've pulled the cracker and got the paper hat or after?
I would urge caution to the AB Ed commenting in the "weekly" blog on the merits, benefits and flavoursome properties of crackers, brie and onions.

Cheddar and Branston are far superior, and youre crackers.

See I wasn't going to get involved with this thread as it was merely a suggestion, however I must address Octavius's point in the strongest possible terms.

Are you seriously comparing the rather common (and indeed bland) taste of cheddar and branston pickle to the infinitely superior brie and pickled onion? Tut. And I always thought you were a rational man of good sense... Sigh, how wrong I was!
Brie is okay if the ole taste buds are cream crackered me ole china.I much prefer a portion of Blue Vinney.yummy...

Ooooh you cheeky show off!
Well if you were wrong about me being a rational man of good sense, then it is very likely you are most tremendously misguided on the brie thingy. Although the former remains unproven. Unlike the latter.

Dont get me wrong, I like cheese. In fact, some of my favourite foods are cheese.

I believe now we're getting in to a dimensional discussion... as in 'what's it like in your world where cheddar is preferable to brie?'

It's like something out of the Twilight Zone.
Well if you like to believe that my preferences are out of this world, then who am I to disagree. I have never heard of a planet made of brie, but everyone knows the moon is made of cheddar. Even my mum said so. Heavenly indeed.
Octavius, I usually bow to your superior wisdom but on this occasion you are wrong.
The moon is made of cream cheese. Not only did my mum tell me this but in 1962 we sang a song about it at school.
Just look on Googl Moon and it is definitely cheddar, with a sprinkling of crumbly Lancashire on the high mountaintops.

Dammit.....that's a childhood belief shattered! You'll be telling me next that Santa doesn't exist.
Mrs Ov, if you are referring to Aiken Drum(?), it was his hat that was made out of cream cheese. His buttons were made of penny loaves, his breeches made of haggis bags

Sound like a fashion disaster to me. But it was the early 60s.
Blimey Octavius, well remembered! I've always been able to hum the odd snatch of that song but never knew the title.
Well done & thanks!

What would these martians know about decent cheese anyway?!
Martians, I thought we were discussing the moon.

Everybody know that Mars gets its distinctive colour because it is made from Red Leicester.
