Excessive posting

I don't mean to sound like a moaning ninny but surely REDHEAD24's repeating posting in B&S about stuff that isn't even related to B&S should have something done about it? It's off putting when I log on and all I get down the left hand side is her name and something about a fit person she saw that day or where she can buy DVD's or even cooking. I mean it'd be at least some sort of acceptable if she even asked a Q in some of her posts. Am I the only one who feels like this?

I won't begrudge on one or two post's, because I myself have done it too. Yes it happens. But when, those that shall not be named, take the absolute p*** out of it like recently in B&S its totally unaccounted for. You must agree surely?

welll i was as guilty as anyone else before chatterbank reopened .

body and soul was well know as the post anything thread.
those that didnt like it avoided it .

thats still the same for some users .
plenty more categories.

Because new people who have never been on the site before will come, have a look, see it's like a chat site and will not take the site serious and move elsewhere. I know I certianly would if I saw all the silly post's in whats meant to be a serious topic. Isn't AB there to help people, not cause people annoyance?

well its not atotally serious site .
its moving toward a chat site to maintain the traffic.
with the pms and the fact we got avatars .
they are trying to make it mor elike a chat site to maintain the numbers.
its paid for by hits and advertising.

no people then no site .

thats the way of the world
avoid the threads that have lots of posts but also realis ethey raise the hit rate and help to keep the site alive .

otherwise it would die !!!

This so called ABer REDHEAD was posting inane crap on B+S about a year ago and went ott by posting links to mass murderers on death row in america. She bu66ered off when other users started to give her a hard time, however it looks like she has reared her ugly head again.

I wish I had been aware, then I wouldn't have bothered searching for the Joan Rivers DVD's she was asking about earlier! P'raps that was a wind up too - who knows!

I have never asked several questions in a row and wouldn't say I overdo it with regards to answers.

Continuing change is inevitable - it seems that this site is being re-positioned as a chat site ..... with special interest groups. (Many sites have developed the other way - from being chat sites down into special interest groups).

There now seems minimal evidence of sensible governance and control over content.

It was different, but now a muddle - losing it's uniqueness and identity in pursuit of hits on advertising.

Not sure if you already know Eurox, but the best way to deal with this situation, is to either ignore them, use the report button, or contact the AB Ed via the 'Contact Us' at the bottom of the page.

I do understand what you mean, but it's not very nice naming & shaming another AB'er.

P.S. Just to add, REDHEAD hasn't done me any harm.
