I have read back last night and though the actual words are not there, it does sound as though another nomark on here was using death threats and threatening physical violence, sounds abit of an over reaction from that person to me, but that is not legal even on the internet on a website like this.
Question Author
Dot, I have it all, no worries.

The abuse towards you last night is noted, and will be sent to the appropriate places.
I know which ABer is being referred to here......but what of another-with the initials 'BB'......who is well-known for posting what could only be read as threats and abusive language.......is he in the same category????
Question Author
"Jesus, some people are just so full of themselves. "

Yes, and some people aren't.

Your point being?
Question Author
pastafreak - yes, he is very much in the same category, and his abusive posts will be dealt with in the same manner.

Thank you for asking.
Can you prove that who typed the words was actually the one you think it was, no way this sort of thing can ever go to court, how will it be proven?
Question Author
"Can you prove that who typed the words was actually the one you think it was"

Doesn't matter who typed it, or what name they currently abuse with, it can be traced back to a computer, even with a dynamic IP address.

We do it all the time.

Sorry to say it, but you have to prove who typed it, not just where it was typed from, that is fact, you can say i typed something, but if 14 people say I was in the pub with them, then what?
So what you're basically saying Ray is that now we appear to have an editorial team who couldn't give a stuff about the site that we are lumbered with the kinds of posts that appeared last night and nowt can be done about it?

Well, thats spiffing!

Question Author
lol @ spiffing, sorry B00. :-))))

Aye well munkee, you get my drift eh? ;-)

It beggars belief that we have rules and regulations at all then if users continuously flout them and naff all gets done doesn't it?

AB and CB in particular has become an embarrassment at nights- and I'm ashamed to even be a member of it sometimes.
Question Author
"but if 14 people say I was in the pub with them, then what? "

Then, raysparx1, I'm afraid to say, your wife or children could possibly be arrested under the Obscene Publications Act or in the case of 'BB' mentioned above, the Public Order Act.

Thus your 14 'invented friends' would be guilty of perverting the course of justice. That's a real test of friendship, eh?

Unless of course you were to fess up, and take the responsibility of your actions.

This is of course, an entirely 'what if' situation, and is not meant to suggests anyone here is guilty of any offence.
