I suggested that chatterbank only be open between 8pm and 8am to stop all the night time hassle, bullying, and naughty posts. What do people think? Anything urgently needed can be asked on other posts, surely enough topics to cover it

Get rid of those users and it should run pretty smoothly, true there will still be the heated errr debate every now and then but hopefully none of the nasty abusive crap we've had lately.

Although that seems like a good idea I think its unfair to the people who dont cause hassle. It could also mean the nastiness is taken into other sections. Plus if the nasties dont get their fix of venom spitting they may decide to come out in the daytime and do it. (not that the time matters anyway)
I hardly come on here at night and if I do Im usually away by 9.00 so only hear about the abuse and nastiness, maybe if I saw it all first hand I would be yelling yes to your suggestion :(

well I suppose you could ask in other topics 4get but then they would could get crammed up with meaningless posts and shove the proper questions to the bottom of the page. If it was a proper question fair enough but most of the stuff that I post on cb is daft and doesnt really fit anywhere else but a chat bit, Im sure other users are the same.
Since the original cb closed I deliberately kept away from ab for a long time as I didnt want to spoil the other sections with silly posts.

sorry 4get, i agree with B00 and it would only end up in other categorys anyway , same way it used to go in in body and soul before we got chatterbank. I think the ignore button is an excellent idea but would our natural curiosity stop us from choosing it cause we dont want to miss out on anything???
Ignore user button is a nonsense .
You are adult enough to ignore or not.
If you need a button then surely self help courses would be of more use than clicking on a button online.
Moderators are the answer.
But not ones who use the site.
The only site ive ever used or seen used where moderators were totally impartial was brainformation.
All other sites the moderators either turned blind eye or removed or ignored the hostility from friends.
On certain sites the moderators instigated the arguements then when it kicked off theyd reprimand the people theyd started on themselves.
Some people have short memories.
