Why Is Answerbank So Slow?

It's taking me teo to three minutes to get to view different pages, yet other web sites I log on to are O.K. so it is not my computer.
Anybody else having difficulties?

Same here jno. I was going to post about it (eventually!) but Theland beat me to it. It's just taken me FIVE minutes to swap over from B & S to here, so unless the prob's rectified soon, i can't see many people being on AB tonight.

Its taking me at least 5 minutes to even get a page to open on here and has been all afternoon and evening. I think i'll try again tomorrow instead.

We had the same problems just before Xmas, and the Ed promised the earth to get it sorted once and for all.
Here we go again.
Not bad this morning though, just hope it lasts.

Here I am two hours later and the problem is back, although intermittent. Other sites I access are O.K.

It was very slow last night, but now seems much better.

If you looked at the bottom of your IE window while you were waiting yesterday evening, you would have seen what it was waiting for. It was the ADVERTS that were holding it up. They obviously have the priorities set wrongly - surely the page should load first and then the adverts be added later if (and only if) they are available. A hold-up caused by a missing advert doesn't only frustrate the users, it deprives all the other advertisers of the chance to have their adverts seen.
