Mrs C: To the best of my knowledge, it's not being repeated on any terrestrial channel. (I've actually written to ITV3 to suggest that they should buy the rights).
Chris, what is Para Handy? Can you give us a description please? I think you'd like Shameless, but you have to be very broad-minded to watch it. Are you broad-minded Chris? Shameless can be quite an eye opener.
Nono, do you watch Shameless? I imagine it's the sort of programme you would laugh at. Am I right? lol
Perhaps I could go one further Paff - why do we always end up with trillions of noreply notices when we go to look through our emails??? I delete them by the dozens!
Roger, Roger was hilarious, in my opinion - but I find most of John Sullivan's work to be excellent.
The scene where the alsation gets in the lift, and his owner if left outside watching the other end of the lead rising through the closed doors has me in stitches.
Mrs C:
'The Tales of Para Handy' was a BBC dramatization of Neil Munro's 1930s newspaper columns about a roguish skipper of a Glasgow 'puffer' boat. It starred Gregor Fisher. It was more of a comedy-drama than a sitcom - but it was still wonderfully funny! http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0155450/combined
Am I broad-minded? Would I post on CB if I wasn't? ;-)
