When a post gets banned

When a post gets banned - perhaps a note can be added to tell us why?
I had a post from Q&P banned today and I have no idea why
i really don't think there was anything wrong with it - perhaps there was but I would like to know what so I don't do it again

An email is normally sent mind you, telling them that they have simply been banned. We don't have to give a reason for it.

The post was to do with todays Sir Lancelot quiz 3 questions i needed help on - nothing nasty racist or abusive or with any swearing

yep thats the one but when I go to my profile and then to questions i have asked there is a banner saying - this post has been banned - hense my question

I bet it double posted due to a glitch and one was removed.

It's been doing that a lot today .People have submitted twice by mistake . Or when you click on you get ...Question not found ..Then the Q&P traffic warden and self appointed law enforcer gets his knickers in a twist about it and we get a lecture about Site Rules .
It's hardly a hanging offence .
