Communication continues to by-pas the AB Editor's Blog, and largely to take place through chatterbank - another example:

{have to smile about the use of the word 'debauchle' ..... I suppose it means to corrupt with lewdness; seductiveness;)

Oh well .... let us hope that the Ed recalls that there is a wider AB membership that just the users of chatterbank .... and manages to get out of bed in time to post a Friday Blog ....

and whatever the problem is .... the saga with TCL / The Corbyloon etc occupies far too much space and comment .... I have no idea who is in the right/wrong - and, I dont care BUT continuance of this issue reflects poorly on those involved .....

However, taize, you can't criticise TCL when you yourself are now doing much the same - constantly criticising the Ed.

We just have to accept that the Ed. thinks Chatterbank is the centre of the AB universe. I wonder what percentage of AB the regulars on Chatterbank form? I have been on there more myself in the last few days!!

I am supportive of TCL - and think the public spat with the Ed ..... damages the Ed

I'm just expressing a constant theme that I have in the past postings about how the new Ed likes to chat (and be friendly in chatterbank) and how the new Ed does not wish ALL ABERS a Happy New Year in a blog (look back and you will see my earlier postings)

Legend, but the busiest section is not the section visited by the majority on this site. It's doubt whether it is visited by 75% of this site.

Im sure however that the editor has figures of where most traffic and advertising revenue is generated.

After All , and most users seem to miss this , answerbank is a business not a wee forum where things are decided by the majority.

That is not the point. Of course AB is there as a business, but CB does not attract the same number of users as say Quizzes and Puzzles. So why post things pertaining to everyone on CB, because it it is the busiest. It is only busy with the same bunch of users - not the majority of the users. So some people never see the Editors messages. Would you see his messages in Science or History, say? (Please note: just examples substitute science or history with whatever sections you never visit!!)

Oh well, never mind. In the greater scheme of things and all that.........................

And as he continues to post in Cb then one can only assume its more popular than the other aforementioned topics .

The biggest problem with the ed posting on CB is that it very quickly disappears from page 1 and page 2, so unless you are on the site at the time you are likely to miss his posts.

If he posted in his Blog then his posts are easy to find by all, no matter when they sign in to AnswerBank

How come I was dragged into this? It may help if I make it clear that I was caught up in yesterday's "day-buckle" and that is why I had to post under another name.

Perhaps rather than have an AB Editor's Blog, it should be re-named AB News and that way any important info or announcements could be put in there rather than trawl through CB in the hope of stumbling across it.

Lets face it theres no necessity for the king to do the bidding of his subjects , its the king who dictates to his subjects.

You have a point regarding going elsewhere Leg - but if one has a gripe about another AB'er, one shouldn't start a new thread highlighting it - it's not nice!

As you know, there is a Contact Us facility for emailing the Ed, if one should feel the need.....
