In the box marked recent posts and you click on a post, why does it not take to straight to that particular post??

If it is a thread that has a lot of posts in it, you have to trawl all through these posts or keep clicking last page
to see what was posted.

And believe you me, that is a mean feat when your computer is slow or this site is playing up.

Sometimes it does not take you anywhere when you click on it.

So consider yourself lucky to at least get to the top of the thread.

I'd rather it take me to page one than the last page - if I haven't read the thread it is important to read what has already been posted.

It is easy enough to click 'last page'
