I'm blushing :-)
Nosha...sounds too easy to be true.
Stewing steak/braising steak
Onions
Carrots
Spuds
Salt & Pepper
Dice the steak and brown, Add water (this is a bit of guess work) onions, carrots, salt and lot's of black pepper. Boil.
I cut some of the spuds quite small and some big. The small ones break up and thicken the water. When the liquid has thickened, taste. Sometimes I add a bit of gravy granules or a bit of browning.
It's that simple and cheap as chips.
