dear Ed,

you've never replied to any of my emails, so I'll try this method instead.

how about a homework section? we see these poor students struggling with subjects they evidently should never have taken on. they don't say "please" or "thank you", and they don't even know how to re-word their homework questions to make it look like they're interested in the answer.

and how about a name-calling/scrapping section, to save the majority of users who find that a bit dull?

just a thought..

I agree sara.

I'm happy to help with homework questions provided the poster takes the trouble to:
Phrase the question properly
Ask politely- too many postings sound like an instruction.
Give us some context- which course and level (degree, doctorate, NVQ, primary school, etc); how many words are needed- a couple of sentences or a 10000 word thesis, etc.
Show they have made some attempt to address the question.

Often the poster should have been able to find some good info from a quick google search.

Whe I do help with homework questions I rarely get thanked.

I don't think the name calling is too much of a problem apart from the recent unsavoury issue involving two regulars
