ghost posts

What a drag it is when all posts from a user disappear because that username has been banned. I was reviewing an old question of mine and suddenly a very helpful reply from Dot Hawkes simply wasn't there anymore. I suppose I was lucky not to have my whole thread removed, as sometimes happens. If a student is chewing gum in your classroom you don't blow the whole school to pieces do you but AB seems happy to do that. Also, it's incredibly confusing when a reply is removed and there are no traces of it ever having been there, rendering subsequent answers to seem mentally deranged when they refer back to something that isn't there anymore. Causes misunderstandings between people too, sometimes bad ones.
So, AB, this is my suggestion: Remove offensive replies but allow us to see the ghost of them i.e. allow them to leave a trace, to help the rest of us understand what went down. It might look something like this
The username should still be visible, in my opinion. (BTW I hope I haven't used any actual usernames - my apologies if I have.)

Just to clarify, as it is continuing to be a misunderstanding on AB, I was not permanently deleted for any offensive post OR for abusing anyone else on AB, I was posting on the ed's thread about twitter and being very cutting about it, I was ridiculing him and this caused him to zap me and others, which was supposed to have been a temporary ban according to subsequent emails from the ed, however, as he had been testing some aspects of the new AB 2,0 programme, he inadvertently permanently zapped me and others, apparently. I have got nowhere trying to get the replies in genealogy returned, it is aggravating, but the answers are still in my head, and so anyone can email me at [email protected] or post in the topic if they need a repeat answer or anything else answering.

as it is the truth then i have no choice, are you saying i am lying? I gave repeated over and over again on here what the ed told me, that it was a mistake that he zapped everyone that day, he apologised for the permanent removal of any answers from the zapped ids, no amount of doubt that some abers try to put in peoples minds will change the truth no knowledge, people on here would like to think i was zapped for abuse of other abers, when that simply was not the case.
If it suits you and others to continue the lie that i was zapped for anything else carry on, people with any common sense do not believe you

But dot.haukes your Dot.Hawkes answers are not lost! Noknowledge has kept a record of them! I thought that it was a bit creepy of him to do so as he posted comments that you had made before you were zapped, but perhaps his obsession with your goodself will mean he can retrieve your posts!
If there any omissions e.g. "the barman" post, then knobbynumskull will no doubt have a copy of them.
Sorted.
