It works for me, I've just tried it. Try pasting it into your browser. The original question was 'What is saxophnist Wesley Magoogan doing these days?' (He played the fantastic solo on Hazel O'Connor's big hit 'Will You)'. I have since learned that he lost several fingers in a gardening accident with a hedge trimmer and of course, can no longer play. A great shame.
That's really weird. You're quite right. Even my original email from AB today comes up with the above question. Anyway this is the original one where you will see it was answered today. http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Music/Question8 5315.html
How did you know that a reply had been made to your original question which had been posted some years ago.
Did you have an e/mail from AB. ?
I ask you,as above, because I am trying to establish from the Editor of AB, the reason for my not having such communications to recent postings......Ron
Yes Ron, I did receive an email from AB alerting me to the answer, as I have on all these others since. Strange that you don't and it does warrant an explanation as to why not.
Just a thought Ron. Have you ever had alerts or has it recently gone wrong? How about if you register afresh with a new user name. It may be that something went wrong with your registration. Might be worth a try. There are strange things with AB from time to time. Over the last 7 years I've had a couple of questions banned with no explanation and there was nothing contentious or abusive in the content. Regards Dud
It's a site problem. I was a little premature in asking how you knew if an answer had been posted to you.
It seems that e/mails come through for answers to one's questions but , in my case, I do not receive similar noification for threads to which I have subcribed.( no problem with Answers to the questions I post) However, although I have written to the Editor on no less than five occasions I have not received a reply.....Best wishes..Ron
