I've just had a look at the first 20 questions in the Music section.  I really do not see how you would envisage splitting them into categories.  Surely it would just result in even more questions being posted in the wrong or inappropriate categories.

Unfortunately SteveD,people who dont know the difference between sport,news,travel etc.will never post in the right category.it wouldnt be any different for music.60s,70s.etc.we just have to grin and bear it.after all we didnt educate these people?

That would annoy me - its bad enough having a billion catagories as it is.   But thats just me.

It's a good idea in principle, but hardly needed: there were less than 200 questions in the category last week.  The potential for confusion is huge, especially (as has been pointed out) considering the difficulty some people have with the sections as they stand.
