i believe that if all people who have been banned were given another chance and they know they are being monitored closely a lot of them would moderate their behaviour, some of course would not be able to control their tempers and be banned again, thus leaving everyone else to carry on in a mostly friendly manner, i think some people were goaded into loosing it by certain people ganging up on them.

Maybe you could send a general email to all registered users - unfortunately that may mean that some people end up with 400 emails to go with their many registrations - On the other hand, maybe not a good idea - it might wake a few sleeping trolls!!!

At the discretion of the Editor, input into AB is up to each individual. AnswerBank is what we make of it ourselves and it can be as good or as bad as the Postings we give.
If we complain and moan at others then it will not be much fun for anyone on here. Healthy Debate without abuse, Light hearted banter, Controversial Issues, Helping others who need advice, it is what AnswerBank should be about.
It can be this way as long as the Powers that be keep it under control and we all use it the way it is meant to be used. It is basically a first Class Site which has been abused in the past and it brings together many people who have things to get off their chests. It is possibly the only means some people have of communicating with others as they are so lonely. Keep the site Abuse Free and AB will flourish.

I came on AB for the first time last night.. previously I would read the posts and found them quite scary,, didn't like the language and couldn't understand half of what they were talking about.. I thought it was my age... Last night I was made welcome and enjoyed...I've only ever used the early bird thread before but I will now enjoy a bit of banter in the evening.....
