Morning All,

If you've spotted any new issues can you pop them in here.

Also, if you have any ideas for site improvements you should pitch them here and we'll have a discussion. We wont be able to act on them just yet but it would be ncie to have discussions about them and see if we get an majority-backed changes.

Could you please activate the 'Topic' Button in order to activate the Sub-Sections. It's not a big issue but it would speed up things as at present you have to click on each heading to view sub-sections.
Thanks
As its been asked before I presume you are working on the font size especially when you are inputting answers. Its tiny!
Question Author
Font Size is on the list already, yes.

The topics issue is on the list, but as you say, it wont be a top priority!

Any more?

All the best,

Spare Ed
Thankyou (from a myopic Mamya)
ED -I have been trying to send you an email-via Hotmail- but keep getting failure notifications. Yet all other emails are sent successfully. Is there a problem at your end??
Is there still a notification to the author of an answer when a maximum size file has been reached? I've posted a couple of long-winded answers (I know, I know, not uncommon) that, when submitted and displayed in the questioner's space, apparently cut off a significant portion... only including the first few words of the next paragraph, thereby producing an apparent pasquinade.
Previously, the file size was 2,000 characters and would notify the submitter when he/she attempted to submit the answer...
Question Author
Was it really as much as 2000 characters?

That is slightly higher on the list!

Pasta - use the contact us form! Also, do not use ALL CAPS in an email to me again, it will not get a response!

All the best,

Spare Ed
Why do links not post properly any more and can something be done to fix it please?
An example is in my first response to this question:

Will the Latest Posts box get the auto refresh back? It is a pain having to keep going back to click on refresh and you miss answers if you don't do it all the time.
Ed......I have looked back over my emails......and NONE are all caps.

is this supposed to be some sort of public shaming for my indescretion???.
Hello, AB Ed.
Here's what seems to be a new bug for your techies to fix - I don't reckon this used to happen before.
It relates to my answer to this question.
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Jobs-and-Education/Education/Question811088.html
When the answerer includes a link in his answer that overhangs the normal width of the visible screen, the rest of the text answer also follows that 'wider' width without wrap-around and gets lost off the screen.
Question Author
Pasta - It is not a public shaming. I am just repeating Site Rules. http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Info/Rules/

You will not have a copy of the correspondence, this is because the only way users can contact us is through (as I have said before) the contact us form. Patronising and angry emails will also not get a response.

We do not like ALL CAPS because it appears agressive and rude.

Hi Buildersmate, we are actually looking into that at the moment. It shouldn't be too far over the horizon!

Jan, it wont be automatic for a little while but we'll keep chipping away at the list.

We are also working on the linking issue,

Spare Ed
I don't know if this has been asked before, but can we have a notification email when a question we post is answered? It saves having constantly to refresh the page to check for answers.

Thank you.
