Can you explain why when an A/Ber leaves a link in their post, the page no longer opens when I click on it.

If you have a pop-up-stopper enabled the links won't open.Try holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard when clicking the links.
Also check that you still have a default browser setup, this often happens when a different browser is installed and then later removed and it leaves no default browser.

In IE click on the tools menu, select internet options, then click on the programs tab and click on the "make default" button.

Now try a link again.
Let me know how you get on Ron - we'll have the techies look into it if none of the above work.

All the best,

Spare Ed
Chuck - might need you later, the lappy at home won't connect to internet. Again. Actually if I can't connect I won't be able to ask you will i? Doh
LOL, that might be a problem :)

If you can get on facebook then my mobile is on my profile, text me if you want.

Thanks for your replies, I am using Firefox not IE. Please advise.Ron.
Click Tools > options, click on the advanced tab and then click the button that says check now at the bottom, this will check if firefox is the default and if it's not will bring up a prompt asking if you want to make it default, answer yes if it does

chuck, Tools > options > advanced >NO button for check now.
Happens to me also, can't open links and my firefox is set as default.
ron, click help and then about firefox, what version have you got?

Also if both of you having the problem right click here http://www.theanswerb...s/Question828645.html

and then what you select will be slightly different for everyone but something like "copy link location", once that's done post another reply and paste the link location (press ctrl + v ) in your answer
