Posting a thread in totally wrong topic and more.....
44 Answers
I am not being a pedant at all but if I want to post a thread I always post it in the correct topic.
Any way you can move threads from CB to the correct topic so people get the message as its quite honestly a waste posting a thread there as its off the page in an hour sometimes.
Also whilst on the subject is there anyway you can stop posters posting threads advising us of there every move like..'Im off now be back in half an hour' 'Im Im back now' ' and trust me I could go on and on.
It does my head in cos CB/AB is not about any one person its a dip in dip out site and when I dip back in I check my proflile first in case I haven't replied to a post cos 'Ive popped out'.
Thanks if you can do anyhing about this.

Sadly we cannot move threads - I am sure we will in time.
As to some of the other remarks: I would suggest that, for some, this isn't a "dip-in-and-out" site. I believe many turn up here in search of a single piece of information but end up "mining" through topics or joining in the more social elements via the recent posts box.
How does everyone use AB?
All the best

unfortunately many people seem to confuse this site with a chat site, and come on her solely for those reasons...its annoying because it clogs up the site with inane posts instead of proper questions
i dont mind a bit of banter with reference to a queastion, but there are enough chat rooms on the internet withotu trying to make this into one too...

I use it for both - someone posted over the weekend to a newbie that we come on to answers quiz and crossword questions then pop into CB for a ramble and a catch with our cybermates before popping back to crosswords when new posts come up. I've also used it for advice (getting and giving) about pets, plants, insurance, travel - all sorts. CB is the bonus while we are on the other aspects. Good community!
Dont be daft Joy -I was just funning with my last post.Youve even mentioned to the ED about having a wee signal to say you wont be back and I notice others say if they are posting that they wont be back .I normally say I wont be back so dont think im ignoring you.-so its really along the same lines as I was opening a discussion about x
O just looked at my last post and it was ED I was thanking BTW
