AB Ed - Why have you banned my OJ Simpson thread? Is there an ulterior motive?

Smudge - your post was banned because it was potentially libellous. As one of this site's most regular users, I would expect you to understand that AB could not operate under the threat of a potentially destructive legal action.

Perhaps I should remind you that you, as writer of the contentious remarks, would also be liable to a defamatory action.

Please take more care in future when posting opinions on such matters. We do not want to have to ban one of our most enthusiastic contributors.

The is no "ulterior motive" in any of the AB moderation. We do not have time to excerise prejudices against people who are, let's face it, complete strangers.

How could my question be potentially libellous or contentious, when most of the participants on a Discovery World Wide programme, asked the same question as I did? I'll agree to disagree.

Well I stand by my first reply & if you ban me for that well so be it! Let's hope you take the same stance with anyone who has been 'slating the Royal Family' then.

If you cannot see that, then I suggest that in future you avoid controversy by refraining from posting your opinions on this website and stick to what it was created for: the exchange of hard facts.

I queried why one [the first ever] of my answers was banned and can`t get any sort of reasonable answer........ no what, where, why , how, when, who or whatever, someone thought it fell foul of AB rules but won`t explain why.   What happened to telling the truth as you see it and debating the consequences?

Must admit to being shocked by the confrontational reply from the ED.

Thanks for your support ianess - well what can I say! If telling the truth as you see it, or trying to debate an issue gets Q/A banned, then we just have to shrug our shoulders & stand by the rules. The AB Ed has the upper hand, so it's a complete waste of time & energy even trying to make sense of it all. Editor - I don't know what smudge wrote which has been banned, but have you read number 63 in my list of pet hates recently?  Will I have to edit it next time?  ;-)

bernardo - Thanks, I had no idea what you had written.

I wrote that last night, I watched a programme on the Discovery Channel, which was all about the forensic evidence found in the OJ Simpson trial. I then went on to say more or less what you've written in the Pet Hates thread, but asking what others thought. It was banned. Why was it banned, if yours, although edited, remains? I rest my case.
