Ed, why don't you charge each member say a fiver a year to come on here? I'd be willing and then you could also have more staff to keep an eye on things? Just an off-the-cuff thought

I would gladly pay it if it stopped these multiple-named foulmouths spoiling the site for the rest of us, and would stop the other multiple users who keep trying to tell us they are someone else.
As I said it was off-the-cuff as a reaction to the one-offs who come on every weekend when no-one is watching it seems. A lot of times it seems to be the same people that long time users (not me) know. I certainly wasn't suggesting that AB is a closed group of friends, if it is I am certainly not one of them. I'm also not technical but I'm aware that you can register repeatedly so just banning is only a temporay fix.
What i was referring to were temporary email addresses that you get for an hour at a time (very easy to use at a cyber-cafe), and they make it easy to register - once the confirmation email comes through you just forget about the email address thereafter (I know because I have done just that in the past with other profiles).
If the registration confirmation email was left for 24 hours then that route would be more or less closed to people coming onto the site using that method.
