Found old ID that works

Ed I''ve added Firefox Thunderbird to me hotmail as I read in the internet topoic that it helps with spam mail, anyway, what it does is it turns your inbox around and starts with the oldest first and one of the first emails was the authorisation one from AB for this ID!!! I 've signed in ok with it and it seems to be working!!! Is it ok if I carry on with this one now and when you eventually get the id adding software working in the near future you add my dotjhawkes and other similar named ids together? That would be good if you could!!!

Yep, not a problem Dot.

We'll be collating names in the future, but at the moment it is "nice to have" rather the essential.

Hi Dot:

Just a note about Thunderbird for you. As with Outlook and Outlook Express you can choose whether to have your mail sorted by date order, reverse date order, alphabetically by topic, alphabetically by sender, or whatever. All you need to do is to click on the relevant column heading. (e.g. if you want your emails listed with the most recent ones first, simply click on the 'Date' header until they appear in that order).

PS: Just how many emails have you got in your Inbox anyway? I've got a golden rule that my Inbox is always completely empty at the end of every day. I'd be annoyed with myself if I had an email from yesterday in there, yet alone from months ago!

I have 1730 emails going back to 2005 in my inbox but they have all been read. I don't want to delete any of them, what should I do with them? when I click on my inbox the read ones are just there.

At work I have over 4000 in my inbox, nearly the same in sent and about 2000 in deleted. Never know when you need to check back and often do.

Simply create some new folders (e.g. 'Family History', 'Footwear, 'Garth Brooks', etc) and move the old emails from your Inbox to the relevant folders:

actually I think there is already something collating information on users and I''ll tell you why I think that,
when I found the email and tried the id and it worked, there was of course no avatar, so i clicked on the activate my avatar button in the profile, and it instantly showed the Garth avatar! It's not the same email that I use on the dot.hawkes id but i have used the email on the gravatar link from ab by mistake when i was getting my avatars for my other id. So there seems to be a link there.

You could well be right dot. I feel sure that itsnotme has been listed as a.k.a vivandorron (apart from the fact that I have admitted it) and , hopefully the Ed thinks I am not a troublesome Nerd, so that's why he's done anything about it.
