I just updated AVG and ran a full disc-scan - all clear. I tried to make answerbank an 'exception' in security but it didn't work so have now disabled "block reported attack sites" - I feel all naked and vulnerable :-/

Yeah I did same AP, so a post by Ed or the techies to say when its sorted so we can tick that box again would be appreciated.

We've been having a few problems today with Malware warnings. I have posted in Technology to say that the problems have been resolved, but those using Firefox will still get warnings.

I can assure you that nothing is wrong with the site, and would appreciate your help in responding to those on AB who say that they are getting warnings from Firefox.

For now, click on "ignore this message" when you get the warnings. Frustrating, I know, but it will be sorted soon.

I followed AP's advise and unlcicked the "block reported attack sites" vivandron, but like him, i feel naked and vulnerable, and believe me, in my case that aint a pretty sight!

Incidentally...I am using Firefox and also AVG is installed. However, no way can I enter AB's 'Suggestions' unless I override the warning message.

Hehe jno, that reminds me, when i had my posh office job (I know, hard to believe eh?) and our internal systems went down, we'd call the techies and they'd like "take over" our puters, was really freaky seeing our cursers moving and stuff being clicked as if on their own.

All of AB's 'Technology Section' also has been hit by the supposed virus. I've just been looking in there.......fully clothed of course.

Whatever has gone wrong, only seems to involve Firefox. I have tried my other two Browsers (Internet Explorer and Opera.) without any problems arising. Surely, if there were a virus on AB, and my being protected by AVG, I would have the same warning message; irrespective of which Browser I use for entry into mAB.

How can I change from firefox to IE without losing anything?

I am using Safari on a MacBook and had problems all day yesterday so the problem is not just with IE and Firefox.

When I first installed Fire fox I had numerous problems . I finally gave up and tried to uninstall it but it had so impregnated all the other applications that that also became impossible , and I had to reinstall it . I forget now how I overcame all the fire fox induced problems . I would like to get rid of Fire fox but am reluctant to try again .
