Suggestion for new Topic

Could we have a topic where people can ask question about grammar, and the English language in general.

It could become a place people go when they just fancy a good argument and take some of the heat out of Chatterbank.

Anyone fancy a good punch up over apostrophes?

Without the arguments...it's a good idea.

People don't remember what they've been taught in school. It would be nice to have grammar corrected when asked. Instead of it being corrected in a patronizing way.

Line 2 could have done with a comma as well.

Let's have a trial on the apostrophe question

St. James Park - Exeter City ground
St. James' Park - Newcastle United ground
St. James's Park - A park in London

They are all correct.

It depends on whether you consider the park is owned by St. James, or just named after him.

I suppose though, you could argue that he cannot own any of them, being as he is not too well these days.
