Most of us find that there is a great deal of cross over in this section as a lot of people put crossword questions under the general heading. Could you possibly make three links,eg
Puzzles, General Knowledge crosswords and Cryptic crosswords. It can be very tedious trawling through pages of general crossword stuff when all you want is the Guardian or Times.
Otherwise I think your site is great.

I doubt that it would make a difference. It's the same in other topics; some people just see the main topic category and post there instead of bothering with the sub-topics.

As crosswords are so popular, why not make "Crosswords" a new main topic - instead of being a sub-topic of "Quizzes and Puzzles" ??
