Displaying a picture in a posting

When one posts a question or answer there is a separate field for entering a Youtube URL so that one sees the video embedded in the posting.

What about having a similar field for a picture URL, or would that cause even more confusion than already happens?

I find it annoying that I can't add a picture on a thread without saving it and then putting it on photobucket before putting it on a reply. Anyone please advise me of an easier way to do this cos I is thick!

Just to throw in my 2p worth- If pics become included surely this will slow down the whole site? Especially if contributor's upload perhaps 5 (or more) meg files!!

I think they are talking just about links to pics, otherwise the site would turn into a porn site within days.
