I was lost in my thoughts today, and memories of my childhood came to mind, I can go back to when I was about 4. How far can you go back?

to about 1959 when we moved house and the budgies escaped from the removal van. Peter and Paul they were called.
Sometimes when i was very young. Sometimes I can't remember yesterday.
I'm with micmak on this one.
I think about 3, I remember the house and events that happened in my little life at the time
I can go back a long way, I believe unusually far - I can remember when I was 18 months old, a few scenes but very clear. I know I'm not remembering them from being told, they are my own memories, as my mum was staggered when I related them to her. I remember being in the garden, toddling down the garden, and finding the tortoise in the grass - and I clearly remember my dad's 40th birthday cake and being shy about giving him his present, I was a month short of my second birthday that day.
i remember what i had for dinner an hour ago. !
Sorry moony, not that far back. I didn't know you when you were 4

I can think back to about age 5, when I first started infant school...the elastic snapped in my knickers and fell down as my mum was walking me to school....I tried to tell her the elastic had broken but she didnt believe me, until it was too late ....
early 3s - remember clearly the hotel we stayed at near Loch Lomond......
summer 1938, standing on a table in a crowded railway carriage returning from Blackpool.
I can distinctly remember standing on a chair watching for my father to come home from work. I was about four years old. I have vague memories before that but this is clearer. The earlier ones seem more like impressions rather than clear memories.
Did the postman ever deliver on Christmas Day. Mother said not but I'm sure I can remember him as I was opening my presents. Sometime in the early 50's.
My dear moony, Bournemouth disowned me decades ago. I only stay to upset the community and local council ;o)

I can remember being pushed in a double pushchair with my brother. I'd have been about 3.
The post was delivered on Christmas Day until 1960, and 1965 in Scotland. Seems unbelievable these days when we are down to one delivery a day, 5 days a week and none at all on bank holidays.
