Have any of you read "Planet Earth"?

I am finding it hard to get into, but the rave reviews printed on the jacket and inside the front cover make me wonder if it is really worth struggling with it.

If you are not enjoying the book - don't continue to read it - if you were wathching a tv programme and it did not engage you I assume you would change channels- we ahve been brought up to believe that we should persevere with books- no - there are too many books with too little time to waste on stuff we are not liking- move on don't beat yourself up!

I read my young son the first chapter of the firt Harry Potter.

We both agreed to give up at that point - dreadful.
