Lol ...I'm reading one at the moment entitled Birthdays for the Dead .It's not very good at all but I'm sticking with purely because I want to know who the Birthday killer is.The protaganist is totally unbelievable .
I've enjoyed his other books (Logan McRae ) and the stand alone ones,Shatter the Bones etc . but this is not one of his best I must admit .
Have only read one Stuart MacBride book because I was told if I liked Ian Rankin I would like him. Was not too impressed but maybe I just made a bad choice or liked I.R. too much. Reading Camilla Lackberg "The Ice Princess" at the moment and loving it. It was recommended by an ABer.
I havn't read any of his books up to now, but as I really like Ian Rankin, think may give 1 or 2 a try, but will stick to the ones suggested by the other people who have made comments.
Hi Messalina
It was a load of tosh.
Totally unbelievable from start to finish .As if a copper would be allowed to behave like that in real life .Awful book .
The plot was good and I just wanted to know who the murderer was ,hence sticking with it but I must admit I speed read huge chunks of it .
Thanks for that Messalina.
I sort of dismissed it because it has a sort of sci fi element ,when looking at the blurb on Fantastic Fiction .But having looked at it on Amazon it has lots of good reviews .I'll look out for it at the library and give it a go .
