It begins something like -
Look into my eyes nurse,
what do you see? and it was about an old lady in a nursing home telling the nurse how she was when she was young.Very touching, I would love to read the whole thing again, I read it in a newspaper years ago, but think maybe it was written by an unknown poet. Hope someone can help - rosy
it is known as he nurses psalm and has an unknown authur. i think it was found amongst a dead ladies possessions . the poem is called "THE CRABBIT OLD LADY" i think it should be known by every care agency in the world.
I think it is called "A Crabbit Old Woman" There is also a reply to this poem found in an old lady's belongings called "A Nurses Reply" This poem is also very moving.
I have this poem somewhere and also the nurses reply. I shall look for it . It is called " A Crabbit old Woman" and "The nurses Reply" we were given these poems during our counselling course a few years ago .
