Disposing Of Pre War German Books.
12 Answers
I have several sets of pre war 1920s German books that I want to dispose of. Any ideas of how I can do that in the UK ? I know there is a market for them in Germany but that involves high postage.

I buy any light reading German books for myself at jumble sales.
These books of mine are in Gothic German print , in almost perfect condition but the subject matter is of little interest to me. I was given them from a house clearance. Some were great war stories but most were classics, including a set of Shakspears plays.

To get an idea of their value you can try this site. Some books you will look at and think that they will be worth loads only to find out that they are worth little or nothing. But I have seen me picking up a book that looks boring and falling apart and it has been sold for £100+

I followed up your suggestions and was able to give away 40 German books to http:// www.bet terworl dbooks. co.uk/. They sent me the boxes and are picking them up today, 30th July. I believe you shaneysea2 may particularly find that interesting . Thanks all.
